Jaryd and Rachael’s story began back in 2012 when they met working together at Cineplex in Bellevile, ON. It didn’t take long for them to realize there was something special between them. In July 2013, they decided to “throw a party” in Kingston—just the two of them. What started as a casual hangout turned into something neither of them could ignore. They quickly realized they had found something worth holding on to.

Though life took them in different directions for university, they made the long-distance relationship work. It wasn’t always easy, but their commitment to each other was unwavering. In September 2017, they finally took the plunge and moved into their first apartment together in Kingston, Ontario—a major milestone that marked the start of a new chapter.

From there, their journey continued in Burlington, Ontario, where they spent five years making memories, building their life together, and meeting people who only added to their happiness. Then, in April 2023, they decided to move back to Belleville, Ontario, to be closer to family and friends and put down roots where it all started.

Fast forward to December 16, 2023, after 11 years of love, growth, and adventure—Jaryd popped the big question. And, of course, Rachael said yes! Now, they’re excited to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people who’ve been there through it all.
